So what is life all about?

I love analyzing things as a distant observer, can be at times quite enlightening and insightful about everyone and everything around us. In this quest to understand the way people behave around me, and in the crude shock of what level some of them can degrade to for really meager purposes I write this blog entry.

There are people manipulating others - fighting for coo-rd-ships, fighting for core-ships, fighting for parental property, fighting for more power, fighting it out to the core for real silly ends. And the means they take to achieve these ends are, trust me, very rudely shocking. Screwing up relations, ending long friendships, breaking trust, .. for what? competition? peer respect? Some pessimistic, some overtly narcissist. Some real jealous and some pure psychs.

Life isn't abt keepin score. It is not about how many people call you and it is not about who you've dated, are dating or havent dated at all. It isn't about what sports you play, or which co-ord you became by incessantly flattering so and so! It is not about your shoes, your hair or the color of you skin or where you live or where you go to college. In fact, it is not about grades or money either. Life isn't about you having lots of farce acquaintances, or about you being alone. Life just is not about these things!

Life as I understand should be about who you love and who you hurt. It should be about how you feel about yourself. It should be about trust, happiness .. compassion. It should be about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about controlling jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence and self esteem by adding value to the society you live in. It should be about what you say and what you really believe and how close they really are. It should be about seeing people for who they are and not what they have or what they look like or what they can do for you. Lastly, I feel, it should be about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that does collective good. These choices are what Life's purpose should be about.

This is both the easiest choice to make as well as the toughest to tread. Begin by smiling at the first person you greet tomorrow! :)
